Wednesday Night Rides!!! Fall 2009

We are back in the action for Wednesday Night Mountain Bike Rides Fall 2009
Each and every Wednesday from here thru winter we will be venturing out into the darkness for an evening of mountain biking. Expect Massanutten, George Washington and the occasional Hillandale ride. The location of the ride will be determined each week and posted HERE on the forum.

Until Massanutten closes at the end of October we will ride at Massanutten every week. The route will remain mostly the same: up the Kaylor's downhill out the entire Kaylor's ridge and then down either the upper ravine or the new trail

up the back of Kaylor's and down the ENTIRE ridge

WE WILL NOT RIDE IF IT IS RAINING

Our fearless leader Kyle will be away, but Matt Smith and I will wave the flag in his absence.

Wednesday Night Ride will be at Massanutten for the last time this YEAR! Massanutten will be closed for hunting from November 1st to February except Sundays. We will meet in the parking lot at the Western slope at 7:30 and hopefully riding soon after that. We will once again assault the back of Kaylor's knob and then roll the entire ridge plus play around on the lower stuff for awhile. See you out there. Plan on a little over 2 hours.

Our fearless night ride leader Kyle is out of town for Wednesday, November 4, but I'll the ride in his absence if anyone is interested.

Shoot me an email (sgeorge at shenandoahyoga.com) or call 540.746.8468 if you'd like to go and/or give input on the destination, and we'll sort out some plans.

Per the above post, we'll be picking somewhere other than Massanutten's western slope as a starting point.

If there's interest and we make a plan, I'll post details back here later.

Night ride for Wednesday, November 4 is on!

Meet at Food Lion Parking Lot on 42 South at 7:00 PM. We'll carpool out to National Forest and hit Lynn and Wolfe.

We will meet at Food Lion parking lot 42 south at 7 pm and then go out to the forest to ride a trail of choice.

Given the piles of snow in the woods... how about a Wednesday Night XC Ski instead on Dec. 23?
