The 15th Annual Six Pack Invitational is here, it's real, it's happening, and Tearjacket trail is ready to roll! The real question is are you ready to ride! This is the year of consistency, how well do you consistenly go downhill? We'll find out this Saturday 14 November 2009 when the fastest rider, the champion, the weener, is the one who has the fastest of TWO COMBINED RUNS down the mountain. First Rider down at 11 AM. Be there and going up the hill no later than 9:45 am. Drive towards the Camp Todd trail head on Forest Road 95, continue past Camp Todd, then go to the Death Climb (Forest Road 85) featured in the Shenandoah Mountain 100 (which is on the right) , and Tearjacket trailhead will follow on the LEFT roughly 100 Metres. Parking is exceptionally limited as the trailhead is on the forest road 95 without a real parking area, so carpooling is the way to be. Anyways, be there. As for the Invitational aspect of the ride is concerned, 2 days of trailwork were required to get an invitation to the ride, but as that is not possible for everyone, ALL ARE WELCOME TO RIDE!, YAY! However, if you have not done trail work , we simply ask that you become a member of the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition and the International Mountain Bicycle Association. The Number plates are going to be given out, with names be drawn out of the hat, out at the annual pre-party, this year held at Tim Richardson's place at 150 South Dogwood Drive in the burg at 8 O'Clock. Be there, get your number plate and ante up! 20 Bucks to ride, which helps cover the food, booze and party supplies, join the club and IMBA and party down in preparation for Saturday's real Party. Number plates, memberships, and monies will also be given out and collected on Saturday morning out at the trailhead, if you can't make the party at Tim's the night before. This is the year of consistency, No One Hit Wonders! Bring your best game, see you there! Navigators mount up!
