Hello. Wife and I are coming to vacation in Shenandoah National Park starting July 1st-July5th and I'm looking to ride one of those days. Was hoping to do the Western Slope trails at Masanutten. Ridden them several times and love it! How do I go about this?

If it helps at all I'm a 9 year member of our local club http://www.tarheeltrailblazers.com and have over 700 hours invested in one of the trails I'm trail coordinator for.

Thanks for any help.

Mark

Hey Mark,
You've probably read that those trails are on private property and are only open to Mass property owners and their guests, and people with a pass through SVBC. However I think you can ride there on a daily basis, for a fee, since they offer shuttles and bike rentals, and I'd assume these are available to more than just property owners. Just stop by the bike shop (same as the ski rental shop) to see what the deal is. But probably your best bet is to find someone that lives there to show you around. Won't cost you anything that way. I have a friend that lives up there that took me out a few times and they are really nice, well-maintained trails. Hope that helps.
